Ohio National Adds Two New Whole Life Insurance Products to Portfolio

Cincinnati, Ohio -- Ohio National is strengthening its already competitive whole life insurance portfolio with the addition of Prestige Xcel and Prestige Max – both based on the 2001 CSO mortality table.

Prestige Xcel gives policyholders strong, long-term benefits in both cash value and death benefit. Its high level of dividends can provide added death benefit, higher cash values or reduce premiums. Prestige Xcel is designed for both the personal and small business marketplace.

Prestige Max is designed to provide substantive cash flow after the premium-paying period through dividends and a preferred loan option. Max is a high-premium policy that is paid-up at age 65, or 10 years after issue.

“Whole life insurance is the product for buyers that want solid guarantees and the opportunity for growth,” says D. Gates Smith, CLU, ChFC, Executive Vice President Agency and Group Distribution. “With Prestige Xcel and Prestige Max, Ohio National’s portfolio is as broad as any in the industry. Most importantly, our portfolio can meet any variety of customers’ diverse needs.”

Both products are built on Ohio National’s history of competitive product design. Features include:

  • Strong dividend history: Although dividends are not guaranteed, Ohio National has paid dividends for 82 consecutive years.
  • Premium, death benefit and cash value guarantees (backed by Ohio National’s claims=paying ability): Clients have peace of mind that their premium, initial death benefit and guaranteed cash values will be there, despite the unpredictability of financial markets.
  • Optional riders: Optional features and benefits can be added to customize protection.
  • Tax-free death benefits: Under current tax law, death benefits of an insurance policy are generally income-tax free to the beneficiary.

Prestige Xcel and Prestige Max are the latest additions to Ohio National’s strong-selling life insurance product line. Ohio National now has four whole life insurance products built on the new industry mortality table, the 2001 CSO table, cementing its position as a leader in product design. Ohio National’s variety of competitive life insurance and annuity products are marketed through independent agents, security brokerage firms, banks and major wire houses.
