The Ohio National Foundation donates $1.6 million to charitable organizations in 2020

March 29, 2021

In a time of great need in our community in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ohio National Financial Services and its associates stepped up to help those in need and continued a long legacy of giving back. In 2020 alone, more than 75 community organizations benefited from over $1.6 million donated through The Ohio National Foundation. Despite the challenges brought on by physical distancing, 344 associates found a way to use Ohio National’s community service benefit and donate 1,695 hours during work hours.

In the face of adversity, Ohio National continued to be there for the community. The Burns family has a brand new Habitat for Humanity home in Bond Hill. Associates made cards for hospitalized kids and seniors and helped with vital blood donations for the Hoxworth Blood Center.  United Way of Greater Cincinnati is able to help more of our region’s most vulnerable face the challenges brought on by the pandemic.

“The last year has brought adversity that many of us had never witnessed in our lifetimes,” said Barbara A. Turner, Ohio National’s president and chief executive officer. “This made our company’s Mission more important than ever; to make a difference in your life by helping you achieve financial security and independence today – and for generations to come. By investing in the community, especially during times of great need, we help build a brighter and more secure future for all. I am proud of giving spirit of our associates. They found countless ways to give back in an unprecedented year.

Turner added, “As an organization, we know we must support the communities we love, and do what we can to ensure they thrive in any environment. This is particularly important today.”

2020 Community impact highlights:
